Email

Write to support@getsleepful.app. One person reads that address and normally answers within two or three days.

In the app, Profile › Support › Email writes the mail for you with your Sleepful version and iOS already in it.

Discord

The Discord server is for talking to other people who use Sleepful. It is a public room, so keep your nights, health and payment details out of it and email them instead. Discord requires its users to be at least 13.

Common questions

• The alarm did not ring

  Sleepful's alarm is scheduled through the iPhone's own alarm system, so it needs the Alarms permission: Settings › Sleepful › Alarms. Profile › Permissions shows whether it is allowed. The night ends when you stop the alarm; snoozing keeps the tracking running.

• Reminders do not arrive, or a Focus hides them

  The bedtime reminder and the morning summary are notifications, so Notifications has to be allowed for Sleepful. They are sent as time-sensitive, so Do Not Disturb or another Focus can still deliver them if you allow time-sensitive notifications for Sleepful in that Focus.

• Why the microphone, and does it record with the screen off

  Sleepful listens to the room to tell sleep from waking, so a night cannot start without the microphone. Recording continues while the app is in the background and the phone is locked. The audio is analysed on the iPhone, and saved clips never leave it.

• Battery overnight

  A tracked night is hours of continuous recording and costs real battery. Keep the iPhone on its charger — the briefing before each night asks for that.

• iCloud, and moving to a new iPhone

  Profile › iCloud backup copies your nights to your own iCloud, so a new iPhone picks up the history where the old one left off. This iPhone always keeps its own copy, so turning backup off loses nothing on the device. Clips are never copied.

• Restoring the subscription on a new phone

  Sign in with the Apple Account you bought on, then use Profile › Plan › Restore purchases.

• Cancelling, and where refunds come from

  Sleepful is one annual subscription with a 7-day free trial, billed by Apple. Cancel it in Profile › Plan › Manage subscription, or in Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us — the refund policy says how to ask for one.

• Deleting your data

  Sleepful has no account and no server of ours — your nights live on the iPhone. Clips: Profile › Sleep clips › Delete all clips. The iCloud copy: Profile › iCloud backup › Delete sleep data from iCloud. Everything else goes when you delete the app.
