Apple bills you, not us

Sleepful sells one thing: an annual subscription bought inside the app through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple is the seller and takes the payment. Swell Games, TOO never charges your card and cannot issue, approve, or decline a refund — Apple does not allow developers to refund purchases on their behalf. Anything to do with money goes through Apple.

How to ask for a refund

Sign in to reportaproblem.apple.com, choose “I'd like to,” then “Request a refund,” pick a reason, pick the Sleepful subscription, and submit. Apple asks you to wait 24 to 48 hours for an update; if it approves the request, the money can take longer to reach your payment method. Apple's own instructions are in this Apple Support article.

Apple decides. Its terms say all transactions are final and that refunds are granted at Apple's discretion. We are not asked, we do not see your request, and we cannot tell you in advance whether it will be granted or how much Apple will return.

What happens to Sleepful after a refund

When Apple grants a refund it revokes the purchase, and Sleepful ends the subscription and locks the paid features again. Your nights stay on your iPhone; a refund does not delete anything.

Cancelling

Cancellation is Apple's, not ours. In Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then the subscription, then Cancel Subscription — or open your Apple subscriptions. The Manage subscription button in Sleepful opens the same Apple sheet; it is the only way to cancel.

Cancelling is not a refund. It stops the next renewal, and the subscription stays paid and usable until the end of the period you already paid for.

To end a free trial without being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before the seven days are up. Sleepful reminds you on day five, two days before the charge, but the reminder is a courtesy — only cancelling in Apple's sheet stops the payment. Cancel during the trial and you were never charged, so there is nothing to refund. If the trial converted, or if you paid a discounted price such as the comeback offer, the charge is an ordinary purchase and goes through the refund request above.

EU and UK withdrawal rights

Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law in your country or region. If you are in the EU or the UK, that may include a 14-day right to withdraw from a contract made at a distance. On 9 July 2026 the Court of Justice of the European Union held in Case C‑234/25 (Sky Österreich Fernsehen) that a subscription to a service designed to adapt to the user's behaviour is a digital service, so the usual “performance starts now, you lose the right to withdraw” term cannot exclude that right — and that a consumer who withdraws after asking for performance to begin owes appropriate compensation for the use they had. How that applies to a subscription Apple sold you is for Apple, and ultimately a court, to decide.
